Brookers Family Law - Adult Relationships

Description

Family Law – Adult Relationships brings together the key New Zealand law governing personal relationships between adults.

Adult Relationships contains commentary in a mixture of annotated and discursive styles for the principal statutes governing this area of law. The main legislation is the Family Violence Act 2018 with introduction and accompanying commentary, excerpts of the Family Proceedings Act 1980 relating to marriage, separation and dissolution with introduction and accompanying commentary, the Marriage Act 1955 with introduction and accompanying commentary and an introduction to the Civil Union Act 2004. The main discursive material is the "Protecting Children from Family Violence" chapter, where discussion includes the intersection between family violence and the Care of Children Act 2004.

Accompanying the key pieces of legislation are related statutes and regulations without commentary. There is a subject index, and in the looseleaf and ProView products there is also a table of statutes and regulations and a table of cases.

This work is available in looseleaf, online and as an eReference (in ProView).
